My first blog

👋 Hi, I’m Praveen — and welcome to my blog!

I’ve been working as a data developer for a few years now, mostly focused on building ETL pipelines, automating workflows, and working with tools like SQL Server, SSIS, Fabric, pyspark, ADF, Python, Power BI, and powerShell. I’ve also dipped my toes into cloud deployments and DevOps (hello, YAML 😅), and recently — into modern frontend tools like Astro and Next.js.

This blog started as a weekend project to learn Astro, but it quickly turned into something more — a personal corner of the web where I can:

🧱 My Background

I come from a hands-on data engineering background, working with:

  • SQL Server / T-SQL for data modeling and querying
  • SSIS, ADF and Azure DevOps for orchestration and Deployment
  • Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for complete data analytics workflows
  • Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows, and Notebooks to design scalable, cloud-native solutions
  • Python + Pyspark for quick scripting, data cleanup, and REST API integration
  • And now, tools like Astro, Netlify for this blog!

Over the years, I’ve solved problems like:

  • Cleaning and enriching messy, unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Debugging and optimizing slow-performing SQL reports
  • Automating data pipelines from ingestion to visualization using Fabric and Power BI
  • Creating semantic models and reusable datasets across business units
  • Building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for database and report deployments
  • And most recently — designing and deploying this blog using a modern web stack from scratch

✨ Why I Built This Blog

I wanted to build something that’s mine — not behind a login or buried in a Teams chat. A place to:

Whether you’re a data engineer, developer, or just curious about tech — I hope you’ll find something useful here.

🤝 Let’s Connect

This isn’t just a monologue — I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks again for stopping by.
Here’s to learning, building, and writing — one post at a time. ✌️
